Participants are selected based on their academic record, recommendation letters from faculty and an essay.

Successful applicants currently enrolled in U.S. colleges and universities will be awarded the Penn State MASS Fellowship which reduces the tuition to the in-state level. Best efforts will be made not to increase their out of pocked expenses.
The MASS program will work with each student and his or her home university to establish any transferable scholarships or student aid consortiums. Students must have a financial aid officer complete the Financial Disclosure form.
