Midterm I, Monday, Week 6, October 1st.
Midterm II, Tuesday, Week 11, November 6th.

Homework:
Homework will be assigned after every lecture. They will be collected mostly on Fridays, graded, and returned to you the next week. The due-date may change though depending on the schedule. I'll let you know in advance.
The homework-due weeks are: 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, 15.
No late homework will be accepted. Please STAPLE YOUR ASSIGNMENT when you hand it in.
Quiz:
I'll give 6 quizzes, roughly one for each chapter we cover. They are given in-class or take-home depending on the schedule. I'll inform you in advance in class.
You can make up the quiz ONLY IF a valid documentation for your reason of absence is provided.
Grades:
The total score for this course is 450, 350 are from exams and 100 from quizzes/homework. Each collected assignment and quiz will worth 10 points. In the end when I calculate the final grade, I'm going to drop 2 lowest homework grades and 1 lowest quiz grade. That means, there are 90 points to be earned for the homework and 40 points for the quizzes. Then each of the two earned total grades will be rescaled to 50 and summed up to be your final grade. There is no extra credit work.
