Topic: Application of Genetic Algorithm to Compact Models of Semiconductor Devices for use in CAD Tools

Work on the boundary of semiconductor electronics, computer science and applied mathematics in close contact with leading semiconductor companies.

Starting: Summer or Fall 2000 possible
Support guaranteed: maximum of 5 years for Ph.D. student, and maximum of 2.5 years for M.S.

Requirements

1.  Intermediate level course in semiconductor devices (e.g. EE 419)
2.  Some programming skills
3.  GPA of at least 3.4/4.0
4.  USA citizenship or Permanent Residency
