September 28, 2012: An application of the "approximation by conjugation" method

We will see that there exists a smooth diffeomorphism on the annulus (/disc/sphere) that has exactly three ergodic invariant measures. The method is the approximation by conjugation method (also known as the Anosov-Katok method).
