MATH 004 is a remedial course for students lacking sufficient preparation or proficiency for college algebra and trigonometry courses at Penn State (such as MATH 021, MATH 022, and MATH 026). The topics include introductions to lines, solutions to simple equations, exponents, polynomials, and factoring. Students are given the opportunity to practice their skills to improve them. MATH 004 does not fulfill the university requirements for graduation with a Bachelor’s degree.
