A) Section 1.2 question 7 'The field mouse population in Example 1 satisfies......'

HINT: You do not have to solve a differential equation in this question. You already have the formula for the general solution of this equation in your notes. This question tests your skill in interpreting the solution!!!



B) Section 2.1 question 14, 19 'Find the solution of the given initial value problem'
[8 Marks each, Total 16]

HINT: This is practice in using the method of integrating factors!! If you feel that you could use more practice with this sort of question, you should try some more questions in the range 13-20,... (extra questions won't be for credit but I'll give feedback)



C) Section 2.1 question 31 'Consider the Initial Value Problem.... Find the value of y_0 that separates solutions that.....' [7 Marks for solving, 6 for the rest of the question; Total 13]

HINT: First you have to solve the initial value problem. You may be unsure how to do the rest of the question. See if you can figure it out yourself but I'll give you some hints in class for this.
