Homework Policy

General Format required for each Homework Assignment:

• Header should include:

Name

Homework assignment (e.g. Assignment #1 sections 7.1 Parts 1 and 2)

Class and section number (e.g. Math 141, section 04, or 06 or 08).

• To earn credit all work must be shown unless otherwise specified.
• Problems must be written in order as given in each assignment and must follow one below the previous problem. (Do not place two problems side by side on a page.) Problems must be nicely spaced and easy to read!
• Remove any ragged edges.
• STAPLE all pages together!
• Homework is not accepted late!

Homework Grading:

Each assignment will be out of 10 points. Some of the problems will be graded based on completeness and student effort, some will be based on completeness and correctness. An answer without any work to show how the answer was reached is worth 0 points.

Typical point distribution per homework assignment

· 5 points allocated for turning in a complete assignment with work shown.

· 5 points allocated for completeness and effort and/or correctness of certain problems selected by the instructor

Homework/Quiz Points:

At the end of the semester the homework and quiz score will be added together to be worth a total of 100 points which is equivalent to the weight carried by the each midterm exam.
