SIAM Student Chapter Seminar

Thursdays from 05:00pm to 06:30pm in MB106

The Seminar is a 45-minute talk presented by either graduate students or invited professors, which aimed at audience such as graduate students and would be followed by free pizzas and soft drinks. It is semi-formal,ideally, to provided members of our SIAM student chapter to introduce the current research accomplishments at a 'softball' level suitable for the 1st or 2nd year graduate students who are possibly seeking an interesting research niche. More broadly, it is commensurate with the Seminar's objectives to provide graduate students an overview of a niche in which they have not specialized, often by providing a sketch of one of the professors occasionally attend as well. If you want to offer a talk, or have any question concerning the seminar, feel free to contact tian_c "at" math.psu.edu.
