| We prove that the first-order theory of any function field of odd
characteristic is undecidable (joint work with A. Shlapentokh).
When K is the function field of a variety of dimension at least 2 over
an algebraically closed field of odd characteristic, we can
also prove that Hilbert's Tenth Problem for K is undecidable. |
