Combinatorics of Proofs of Identities in Basic Hypergeometric
Series
Ae Ja Yee, Penn State University
Many identities in basic hypergeometric series have very
nice partition theoretic interpretations, and some of them have bijective
proofs. George Andrews has established many of these identities either analytically
or combinatorially. I will discuss some of his combinatorial contributions
and also some of my own to well known identities in basic hypergeometric series
including $q$-Pfaff-Saalsch$\ddot{\rm u}$tz formula.
