Celebrating George Andrews' Election to the National Academy of Sciences
(and his 65th Birthday)
Talk Abstract
Further Debts I Owe!
George Andrews, Penn State University
In the Springer book, The Andrews Festschrift, I described my
early work on mathematics and the people whose ideas and works most affected me.
The object in this talk will be to relate an account of the workers whose ideas
have influenced me and aided me more recently. It will include further thoughts
on Ramanujan as well as Dyson, Rota and some of the faculty who have made up the
Penn State Mathematics Department during the last 40 years.
