I graduated from the University of Akron with my Bachelors and Masters of Science degrees in four total years in 2009. I am now working on my Ph.D. in Mathematics under the advisement of Professor Leonid Berlyand. Currently I am studying bacteria in suspensions of fluid. My true passion is teaching and I was excited to find out in Fall 2011 I was promoted to Teaching Assosiate status at Penn State due to my commitment to excellence in teaching.
I am originally from Mentor, OH. My family still resides in Northeast Ohio and I go back to visit periodically. My favorite teams are the Cleveland Indians, Browns, and Cavs. I also root for the Akron Zips and Penn State Nittany Lions. I am actively planning my wedding to my fiancee who is in her third year of medical school.
I love teaching and hope to persue a position as a Professor in the future. This will allow me to mix my passion for teaching with the ability to mentor the next generation of scientists. I also would be able to continue my research and my interest in mathematical modeling.
I just returned from Granada, Spain where I gave an invited talk on my bacterial suspension work at Biomat 2011. Then followed that up by presenting at the Mathematics Biosciences Institute at the Ohio State University in Nov. 2011. I followed that by passing more Oral Comprehensive Exam in January 2012 and the presented at a conference on active suspenstions in June 2012.
