Maintaining an electronic gradebook

You could keep all your grade records on paper and compute final grades with a calculator. Most instructors would prefer to use the computer to record and calculate grades.

There are several programs you could use to keep your grades. One option is to use a spreadsheet, such as Applix. If you are already familiar with the usage of a spreadsheet, this is the easiest way to start. Another option is to use a program called grader written specifically for keeping grades. This system is faster and more flexible than a spreadsheet, but has a small learning curve to overcome.
