PSU Math Department GTA Training 2005

A Welcome Lunch for all new graduate students will be held in 114 McAllister (the 'Synergistic Room') on Thursday August 25th at 12 noon.   All newly arrived graduate students should attend.

Welcome to the home page of the Penn State Math Department's Graduate Teaching Assistant Training for the fall semester 2005.  Training will take place on Tuesdays at 1 pm in room 106, McAllister Building, beginning Tuesday August 30th.  Click here to see the timetable for the training program.

The Mathematics Department normally requires all newly-arrived Teaching Assistants to participate in all sessions of the Training Program.  TAs who will spend their first year in the English Language Proficiency program may be exempted, but are required instead to participate in the GTA Training Program at the beginning of their second year. Attendance will be taken.

Here are the slides from the training program and other useful background information.   Many of these are in Microsoft Power Point format.
