- Read the introduction to Chapter 3. Find out, what determinants are good for.
- Read the introduction to Chapter 5 and 5.1. Write down your questions.
- There will be an open-ended quiz about determinants.
(i.e. What are the most important properties of determinants? Why are
determinants useful or not useful? Suggest an exercise about determinants, etc.)
- Bonus (recommended): search the Net and see what you find about "determinant" and
"eigenvalue".
