• Oct 12, 2007 - Euler and Leibniz were rebooted so that configuration changes could take effect.
• September 27, 2007 - Four of the UGLab Sun machines are being replaced with Intel machines running Linux. The machines that have been replaced are urysohn, binet, lagrange, and steklov.
• March 29, 2007 - The default umask value as set in /usr/local/lib/Cshrc (which is included by the .cshrc given to new users) has been changed from 022 to 066. Many users already have the new value in their .cshrc files, overriding the old value. The new value prevents one's files from being read by one's group and others by default. Of course, users can override this setting in their ~/.cshrc. Users of other shells, such as bash, will not be affected.

At approximately 4:15pm there was a power surge that tripped a circuit breaker. Most services were restored by 4:45 pm. One server that is not used heavily (euclid) lost a power supply and had other issues.
