Forwarding Mathnet E-Mail

To forward your Mathnet e-mail, create a file named .forward in your Mathnet home directory (or edit it your current .forward file) and add the addresses to which you would like to forward your e-mail, one per line. The full description of addresses can be found in the alias manpage. The simplest type of address is an internet-standard address such as:

          username@domain

In order to be acted on by the Mathnet SMTP server, your .forward file must be owned by your uid and must not be group writable.

To forward your ITS E-Mail, use an HTML browser to browse https://www.work.psu.edu/ and select Change your e-mail forwarding address. For more detailed instructions, see http://css.its.psu.edu/internet/email.html.

Caution

It is possible to create loops where mail sent to one address is forwarded to another address which forwards to the original address. This should be avoided.
