| In this talk we review some of the recent progress in the study of spectral properties of certain elastostatic and hydrostatic layer potential operators on Lebesgue function spaces on curvilinear polygons. In this setting, our analysis gives an affirmative answer to the spectral radius conjecture for the operators under discussion. Our approach is based on Mellin transform techniques and Calder\'on-Zygmund theory. |
