I am developing a software package (LNG_FEM) for graded meshes of the FEM in C, which has nice user-friendly interface and remains robust for elliptic equations in various 2-D domains of polygonal structure. This package makes it much easier to generate optimal graded meshes for elliptic PDEs with different boundary conditions, and to visualize the solution in matlab.
