Title: Entropy in compression, geometry, Kleinian groups and neurosciences

Abstract: Entropy, a central invariant in dynamical systems, also plays an important role in various branches of science. In this talk, I will describe a few examples and results ranging from data compression, the geometry and dynamics of negatively curved manifolds, to Kleinian groups and neurosciences.
