Title: Incompressible Flows of an Ideal Fluid: Existence, Uniqueness, Stability

Abstract: We will state some of the known existence and uniqueness results for the Euler equations of an ideal incompressible fluid, both in Holder classes and in classes with bounded (or "almost" bounded) vorticity. In the second part of the talk we will discuss the relation between linear (spectral) instability and Lyapunov instability for the full nonlinear system.
