| Abstract: | The purpose of this note is to present counterexamples to: the injectivity and the surjectivity of the Baum-Connes map for Hausdorff groupoids; the injectivity and surjectivity of the Baum-Connes map for (non-Hausdorff) holonomy groupoids of foliations; the surjectivity of the Baum-Connes map for coarse geometric spaces; and the surjectivity of the Baum-Connes map for discrete group actions on commutative C*-algebras, contingent on certain as yet unpublished results of Gromov. |
