| Abstract: | This paper is an exposition of the K-theory proof of the Atiyah-Singer Index Theorem. I have tried to separate, as much as possible, the analytic parts of the proof from the topological calculations. For the topology I have taken advantage of the Chern isomorphism to work mostly within the world of ordinary cohomol- ogy. The analytic part of the proof is done within the framework of asymptotic morphisms. |
