| Abstract: | Let A be a unital C*-algebra and let Q denote the Calkin algebra of bounded operators on a separable Hilbert space modulo compact operators. We prove the following conjecture of Max Karoubi: the algebraic and topological K-theory groups of the C*-algebra tensor product of A and Q are equal. |
