Research
I work in the W. G. Pritchard Laboratories in the Mathematics department at Penn State. I enjoy the use of a high speed digital camera and access to the lab's full-time machinist to help me in my projects.

My current research includes two topics. The first is a follow-up question to research done on the dynamic buckling of thin rods: What is the exact relationship between "the probability of a rod breaking" and the distribution of the fragments that come from the breaking process?

The second topic pertains to sedimentation.
