Graduate Teaching Assistants who have completed a certification program may be awarded the status of Teaching Associate. Evaluation of applications for Teaching Associate status is carried out by the GTA Ovseright Committee. Teaching Associate status recognizes that a GTA has a substantial record of success in the classroom, and carries a financial benefit.
