Past Meetings

We have been involved in the organization of the following past events since 1998:

• A meeting on Analysis and Geometric Group Theory, held January 2005 at the University of Hawaii (Honolulu).
• The 2004 Spring Institute on Noncommutative Geometry, held May 2004 at Vanderbilt University.
• The 2003 Spring Institute on Noncommutative Geometry, held May 2003 at Vanderbilt University.
• A meeting on low-dimensional cases of the Novikov conjecture, held February 2003 at IUPUI.
• An NSF-sponsored workshop on Geometric Group Theory and C*-Algebras in March 2001 at Penn State.
• A Joint Summer Research Conference in June 2000, at Mt Holyoke College.
• A Clay Mathematics Institute Instructional Symposium in June 2000, at Mt Holyoke College (held in conjunction with the above AMS event).
• A special session at the Summer 2000 AMS-Scandinavian International Mathematics Meeting in Odense, Denmark
• A special session on index theory and topology at the 2000 AMS meeting in South Bend, Indiana.
• A small workshop on uniformly bounded representations and K-theory held at Penn State in October 1999 we (dis)organized
• A special session on index theory at the 1999 AMS meeting in Austin, Texas.
• Two special sessions at the 1998 AMS meeting in State College.
