Semi-annual Workshop in Dynamical Systems and Related Topics

Oct 21-24, 1999 at the Atherton Hotel, State College, PA

This is the tenth Penn State meeting in the series of regular meetings dedicated to recent results in the theory of smooth dynamical systems, ergodic theory, symbolic dynamics, topological dynamics, Hamiltonian mechanics and related areas in differential geometry, differential equations, Lie theory and partial differential equations and sponsored by Penn State and the University of Maryland. It is intended to provide a focus of activities and a meeting place primarily for mathematicians from the northeast region working in this field.

The meeting will be held at the Atherton Hotel located close to campus. Most participants will stay at the Atherton. The meetings will start on Thursday, Oct 21, in the morning and will end by the lunchtime on Sunday, Oct 24th. A special banquet will be held on Friday evening at the Garden's restaurant at the Penn Stater Hotel. Weather permitting, we will have our traditional hike on Sunday afternoon.

This meeting is partially supported by Penn State and the National Science Foundation.
