Abstract: The class of manifolds admitting actions with codimension one orbits is rich, and provides many geometrically interesting examples. One of the most important properties of such manifolds is that they can be reconstructed from orbit data.
The class of polar manifolds provides a vast extension of manifolds with the same key features as cohomogeneity one manifolds.
