It traverses in y at a constant speed, which is: 5.72cm/s (about 30 sec) Starting out in front of the 3rd wavepaddle. End in front of about paddle 24. Binding keeps it from going all the way across. A. SN A.1. mode 6:wavemaker.4hz.mode6.m.965.dat: b13 The wave front had huge crescents facing forward. Then, the crests fold back on themselves. Then the crests sort of straighten out. (I'm looking at one spot near the wavemaker - so I'm seeing the wave front and then the "steadystate" wave). There are ripples on the faces of the waves. A.1.a. x = 450cm from edge of tank closest to wall. sn6.Y1.13jul01 A.1.b. x = 1215 cm from edge of tank. Here we probably started the carriage before the wave really got there in its evolved form. sn6.Y2.13jul01 A.2 mode 3: wavemaker.3.33hz.mode3.m.960.dat: b10 There are still crests, but I don't see them fold back.
