Assignment 5

Due Friday, July 21, at the beginning of class.  There will be a quiz on Friday as well.

Chapter 2 exercises, p. 27-30, #9, 10, 18, 26, 41.  As always, be sure to show your work and justify your answers for full points - a correct answer with no justification shown will not receive full credit. 

Also, two of the questions on this assignment (18 and 41) are more conceptual - rather than simply calculating an answer, you are to explain why a particular result is true.  Feel free to ask me if you have any difficulties with these.  (Or any other questions, for that matter...)

There are four points available for each question, so 20 is a perfect score on this assignment.
