Section A - The House The Living Room is a room. "The living room is still dark, the bright lights of the Christmas tree providing the only light. The kitchen is to the east." The player is in the living room. The Christmas tree is scenery in the living room. The description is "It's a nice tree, but you don't care about it right now; you have Robopuppy!" Robopuppy is an animal in the living room. "Underneath the tree, you see a brand new Robopuppy, your present! He can learn ten command of up to fifty total steps!" The description is "He's everything you hoped he would be!" Understand "robot" or "puppy" or "dog" as Robopuppy. After looking for the first time, now Robopuppy is handled. An instruction sheet is in the living room. "An instruction sheet rests on the floor." Understand "instructions" as the instruction sheet. Instead of examining the instruction sheet: say "[bold type]Using Robopuppy[roman type] [line break][line break]'learn to <command name>' will start recording a command. Perform the actions you want him to mimic. [line break][line break]'end learning' will end storing actions for the current command. [line break][line break]"; say "'<command name>' will tell Robopuppy to start performing the command, one step per turn. [line break][line break]'<command name> now' will tell Robopuppy to perform the entire command in one turn. [line break][line break]'erace <command name>' will erase the command from Robopuppy's memory. [line break][line break]"; say "'indicate <object>' will alert Robopuppy to a particular object. If you say this while he is learning, he will be able to replace the indicated object by another in subsequent execution of the command. If you say this before performing a command, he will try to perform the action on the indicated object instead of the original.". Persuasion rule for asking Robopuppy to try doing something: persuasion succeeds. After going a direction when the learning flag is true: move Robopuppy to the location; say "Robopuppy obediently follows you."; continue the action. The ball is a thing in the living room. The box is an open container in the living room. The Kitchen is east of the living room. "The kitchen is somewhat disorganized. The living room is back to the west." A soda is in the kitchen. A hamburger is in the kitchen. Some french fries are in the kitchen. A book is in the kitchen. |
