A multigrid iterated penalty method for high-order mixed element Stokes equations

Abstract: This iterated penalty method is a special case of the Uzawa algorithm. It is an effective (and optimal-order) method for solving high-order mixed element systems discretizing the stationary Stokes equations, especially in the case that the discrete pressure space is precisely the divergence of the discrete velocity space.

Basics of the multigrid method and inf-sup conditions for mixed problems will be presented in the talk.
