Math406: Advanced Calculus II

Homework Homework assignments are due on each Monday in class unless special notice, and they will be returned the following Monday in class.
Brief description of the course contents:
Complex analytic functions, complex sequences and series, residue theory. conformal mapping and some applications.
Grading Policy
Exam I 100 points Exam II 100 Points Final 150 points Homework and quizzes 100 points (will be normalized to 100 points) Total 450 pointsAbout Exams
- Exam I will be on Friday 2/8/2008 in calss. It is a closed-book exam, so no calculators or reference materials are permitted. The exam will cover materials from Chapter 1.2 to 3.2.
Note: An evening review is scheduled on Monday Feb 4th in room 303 Willard from 6:00pm-7:00pm.
- Solution key for Midterm I
- Exam II will be Monday Marchs 31 in class. This exam will cover Sec. 3.2 -Sec. 8.1 but not including Chapter 5.
- Solution key for Midterm II
- The Final Exam will be on 5/7/2008, Wednesday in room 75 Williard from 8:00am-9:50am. You should be there at least 5 min before the exam. The final will contain 60% new material and 40% previous material. Texbbook, classnotes, homework and simple calculators are all allowed but you must not copy from others and no discussions. The last two classes will be used as review sessions. Suggestions on the emphasis of the review are welcome.
