| I will discuss some recent results concerning the
vanishing viscosity limit, that is, whether
solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations converge
to solutions of the Euler equations as viscosity
vanishes. This problem is essentially open in
bounded domains. I will present classes of
non-linear flows in channels where the limit holds
and where a detailed analysis of the boundary
layer is possible. This is joint work with Donjuan
Niu, Xiaoming Wang, and Michael Taylor. |
