| Title: | F-pure thresholds vs. log canonical thresholds |
| Seminar: | Algebra and Number Theory Seminar |
| Speaker: | Shunsuke Takagi, MIT and Kyushu University |
| Abstract: |
| The log canonical threshold is an invariant of singularities in characteristic zero defined via resolutions of singularities. It plays an important role in higher-dimensional birational geometry. On the other hand, the F-pure threshold is an invariant of singularities in positive characteristic defined via the action of the Frobenius morphism. In this talk, I will discuss a comparison of these two invariants. |
