Title:Durfee symbol congruences and higher rank moments

Abstract:
Andrews defined k-marked Durfee symbols as a natural, infinite family of combinatorial objects that generalize partitions. He also proved their connection to the Atkin-Garvan rank moments, and used this to prove Ramanujan-type congruences for the smallest parts partition function. This talk explains the k-marked Durfee symbols from an analytic perspective, showing that they give natural examples of quasi-mock theta functions. One key result is that the Durfee symbols satisfy infinite families of congruences, similar to those that have recently been shown for the Andrews-Garvan crank and Dyson's rank.
