| L.J. Rogers began his q-series odyssey leading to the Rogers-Ramanujan identities with a paper entitled "On a Three-fold Symmetry in the Elements of Heine's Series". The subject of this talk will be to reconsider Rogers' original motivation and to see how symmetry questions may lead to interesting discoveries surrounding current work. |
