| In this talk, I will discuss singularly perturbed problems in the framework of dynamical system theory.
Depending on the nature of the slow manifolds and the classes of turning points, the interaction between slow
scale dynamics and fast dynamics can vary dramatically. Critical structures that capture the essential dynamics
of a number of basic types of singular perturbation problems will be explored.
A quick review of the invariant manifold theory relevant to the talk will be given at the `pizza seminar'. |
