| Title: | Martin boundaries and Dirichlet forms for some fractal sets |
| Seminar: | Seminar on Probability and its Application |
| Speaker: | Manfred Denker, PSU |
| Abstract: |
| Certain quotients of shift spaces are representable as fractal sets satisfying the open set condition. The talk will show by example
1) how to represent a fractal set as a Martin boundary
2) how to introduce Dirichlet forms which permit to define Laplacians and harmonic functions.
Connected to this is a generalization of the Gauss-Green formula on fractal sets.
The work is in collaboration with H. Sato, A. Imai and S. Koch; it also overlaps partly with work by J. Kigami. |
