Title: Martin boundaries and Dirichlet forms for some fractal sets Seminar on Probability and its Application Manfred Denker, PSU Certain quotients of shift spaces are representable as fractal sets satisfying the open set condition. The talk will show by example 1) how to represent a fractal set as a Martin boundary 2) how to introduce Dirichlet forms which permit to define Laplacians and harmonic functions. Connected to this is a generalization of the Gauss-Green formula on fractal sets. The work is in collaboration with H. Sato, A. Imai and S. Koch; it also overlaps partly with work by J. Kigami.
