|Title:||Mimetic Finite Differences|
|Seminar:||Marker Lecture Series|
|Speaker:||Franco Brezzi, Istituto Universitario di Studi Superiori (IUSS)|
|(the latest point of view. This lecture will take some typical example of Mimetic Finite Difference discretizations and show the mathematical aspects of its analysis, together with its performances on some classical problems, as mixed formulations of Darcy flows for elements with curved faces. It could be seen as a follow-up of the previous, more general, lecture on “Approximations on general geometries”, this time dedicated to an audience interested in numerical methods for Partial Differential Equations. However it will be quite possible to follow it without having attended the previous one.|
