| Near the end of my paper "Parity in Partitions Identities," I
provided a q-series expansion that contained the Rogers-Ramanujan
identities and a fifth order mock theta function expansion as special
cases. This talk will be devoted to an alternative proof of this result
from the point of view of orthogonal polynomials. The talk will be
self-contained and will develop all the necessary concepts of orthogonal
polynomials from scratch. |
