Title:Analysis on the Worm Domain
Seminar:Department of Mathematics Colloquium
Speaker:Steve Krantz, AIM
Abstract:
We study the famous worm domain of Diederich and Fornaess. This domain has been important for various significant counterexamples in multi-dimensional complex analysis. We explain the history, and present a new asymptotic expansion for the Bergman kernel on this domain. Applications are given to the regularity of the inhomogeneous Cauchy-Riemann equations and other important artifacts of complex function theory. The talk will be accessible to a broad audience, including graduate students.
