| Usually one uses mathematics to analyze physical problems. In this
contrarian approach I will reverse the roles, giving a proof of two theorems using physics:
the Gauss-Bonnet from differential geometry and the Riemann Mapping Theorem from
complex variables. If any time remains, I will also sketch a proof of Moser's theorem on density,
in the same spirit. |
