| Infinite dimensional groups and algebras are now a classical branch of
mathematical physics, with their applications in hydrodynamics and the
impressive developments of gauge theory. We shall explain how algebraic
data about the corresponding Lie group and\or algebra can be converted into
geometric
or topological information, and further physical applications. We shall try
to describe recent applications of this scheme to some coupling of gauge
theory with hydrodynamics, known as CHD(chromohydrodynamics). |
