| Title: | The use of blenders in smooth ergodic theory - a case study |
| Seminar: | Center for Dynamics and Geometry Seminar |
| Speaker: | Jana Rodriguez Hertz, IMERL |
| Abstract: |
| In this talk I will try to explain how blenders work to establish ergodicity in the context of the Pugh-Shub conjecture, with central dimension 2, and the obstructions we have found to generalize this to any dimension. I also expect to describe which hypotheses are essential for this interplay between blenders and ergodicity. This is part of a joint work with F. Rodriguez-Hertz, A. Tahzibi and R. Ures. |
