| I will discuss the dynamics of point vortices on domains of Riemann surfaces (e.g. plane). It involves complex analysis, symplectic geometry (for the dynamics is Hamiltonian), and ideal fluid dynamics. The subject goes back to Helmholtz and Kirchhoff, but many of the results are recent. | |
