| I will describe some recent joint work with Vadim Kaloshin on Arnold diffusion. We give a simple geometrical description of the phenomenon. Geometry of the resonances which give rise to diffusion becomes particularly transparent in the context of geodesic flows. One can view this work as the extension of the classical Hedlund example to the near--integrable case. | |
