|Title:||Geodesics connecting a pair of points|
|Seminar:||Center for Dynamics and Geometry Seminars|
|Speaker:||Alexander Nabutovsky (PSU)|
|In 1951 J.P. Serre proved that every pair of points on a closed Riemannian manifold can be connected by infinitely many distinct geodesics. But what can be said about lengths of these geodesics? In this talk I will survey results and conjectures about this problem. Joint work with Regina Rotman.|
