Title: Limiting distributions of evolution of smooth curves under geodesic flow on hyperbolic manifolds Center for Dynamics and Geometry Seminars Nimish Shah, TATA Institute This seminar talk is DEDICATED TO PROFESSOR A. R. RAO OF COMMUNITY SCIENCE CENTER, AHMEDABAD, INDIA, ON HIS 100TH BIRTHDAY. We consider the normalized parameter measure on a finite piece of a smooth (C^n) curve on the unit tangent bundle of a compact (or finite volume) hyperbolic $n$-manifold, and let it evolve under the geodesic flow. We show that, under a natural geometric condition on the curve, the evolved measures tend to get equidistributed in the unit tangent bundle in the limit.
